"It's cool to reference things and be inspired, but when that's all you're doing, it's not really a personal style, it's just a collage of everyone else's."

Okay, so Dazed and Confused is my all time favourite magazine, so it was really important to me that the issue for their 25th birthday successfully summarised exactly WHAT it is that Dazed and Confused stands for, what it represents.
And I can say that I was 100% not disappointed.
But it wasn't the actual content of the magazine that impressed me this time. I was actually intrigued to find another mini magazine inside. Although I am told on the first page that this was not in fact a magazine, it presents short dialogs from under appreciated, perhaps up and coming practitioners, who share their backgrounds, their future aims and work with the audience.
If you're looking for a quirky, alternative, 'I'm-extra-indie' type of read, look no further. This will hit you right in the feels. And if it doesn’t, then I feel like you shouldn't have even picked up a D&C mag in the first place. Sorry.
I feel like I should tell you something cool about fashion right now but this is about a persons source of inspiration; someone's drive to succeed. Which is also pretty cool. Maybe even a little more important for today's blog than what I might or might not have (but definitely did) cheekily purchased from Zara.
